Electrocoagulation

Electrocoagulation Water Treatment Systems in Kerala

Clean-water treatment, engineered end to end.

We design, install and commission electrocoagulation water-treatment systems across Kerala — 10+ installations to date, each with real-time monitoring.

Electrocoagulation passes a controlled current through sacrificing electrodes in the effluent stream. The electrodes release coagulant ions directly into the water, destabilising suspended solids, emulsified oils and heavy metals so they flocculate and separate out. Because the coagulant is generated in situ, the process treats effluent that conventional chemical dosing struggles with, and it does so without a chemical store on site or the dosing regime that goes with one.

The engineering is in the details. Electrode material and spacing are selected against your water chemistry, not chosen generically — which is why every project starts with water quality analysis and treatment testing rather than a quotation. Current density has to suit the contaminant load; run it wrong and you either under-treat or waste electrodes.

Electrodes are consumable by design, so we build in scheduled maintenance from the start: electrode cleaning and replacement, process optimisation as your effluent changes, and integration and automation so the unit runs against live readings rather than a fixed timer. We work at industrial scale and commission on site.

Electrocoagulation — questions we get asked

What does electrocoagulation remove that chemical dosing doesn't?
It's particularly effective on emulsified oils, suspended solids and heavy metals, because the coagulant is generated in situ at the electrode rather than dosed in. What it will achieve on your effluent specifically is a question for water quality analysis — we test before we quote.
How often do electrodes need replacing?
Electrodes are sacrificial, so they are consumed in service — the interval depends on your current density and contaminant load, which is why we scope it from the water analysis rather than quote a generic figure. Electrode cleaning and replacement is part of the scheduled maintenance we build in from commissioning.
Can it integrate with our existing treatment plant?
Yes. Integration and automation solutions are part of the scope, including real-time monitoring so the unit runs against live water readings. All 10+ of our installations are commissioned with monitoring.
Do you handle industrial-scale systems?
Yes — industrial-scale electrocoagulation is core work, from custom system design through onsite commissioning to process optimisation and ongoing maintenance.
